1. Your holiday
contract
When you make a booking you
guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept on behalf
of your party the terms of these booking conditions. You must be at
least 18 years of age to make a booking with us. Your contract with
Paphos Holidays is made once your booking has been confirmed.
2. Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total rental is required
to secure price and booking. When paying by bank transfer your booking
will be held for 5 days until your deposit is received by Paphos
Holidays. If you’re booking is made within 8 weeks or less from your
departure date it must be accompanied by full payment. Your booking is
only confirmed upon receipt of your payment and this will be confirmed
in writing.
3. Payment of the
balance
The balance must be paid 8 weeks prior to the commencement date
or within 5 days if the date is within 8 weeks of the commencement date.
Payment can be made by bank transfer. When payment is made in addition a
refundable security deposit of £100 is required to cover any damage,
breakages or loss. This £100 will be refunded within 2 weeks of
completion of your holiday less if any cost of damages, breakages or
loss of goods. This will automatically be added to the total cost of
your booking. If we do not receive the balance by the 8 week prior to
your commencement date we shall be entitled to cancel the booking
without prejudice.
4. If you cancel
your holiday
Cancellation of booking must be
in writing or by email and be received by Paphos Holidays within 8 weeks
of the holiday commencement date. If cancellation is prior to this, only
the deposit will be forfeited. If cancellation is less than 8 weeks
before the departure date the full hire cost is to be paid. We recommend
that full insurance is taken out to cover cancellation.
5. Alterations or
cancellation by us
In the unlikely event that the
property becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond Paphos Holidays
control you will be notified immediately and offered alternative
accommodation or a full refund. Any refund is restricted to the property
hire costs and Paphos Holidays are not liable for any cancellation or
administrative charges for travel arrangements etc. If the substituted
accommodation is of a lower price than the one originally booked we will
refund the price difference.
6. What is included
The property rental includes the linen, towels, water
and electricity, any defects or deficiencies must be
reported to your representative of Paphos Holidays within 48 hours of
your arrival. After this time it will be assumed that everything is in
order.
7. Occupancy
Only persons accompanying the
named guest on the booking may occupy the property. The property can not
be re-let or sub-let to any other group, party or individual without
written permission from Paphos Holidays. Under no circumstances may more
than the maximum number occupy the property. Paphos Holidays reserve the
right to refuse admittance to the guest and party if they are in breach
of this condition. We do not accept pets in the property.
8. Your responsibility
You are responsible for taking care of the property and its contents. At
the end of the hire period the property and its contents including all
equipment furniture and utensils, etc must be left clean and tidy which
includes the crockery and cutlery cleaned and stored in the appropriate
cupboards, and ensure that the cooker, microwave and fridge are clean.
You should ensure that no member of your party engages in any activity
in or around the property or swimming pool, which may cause damage or
offence to the neighbours or other third parties. You should also ensure
that all rubbish is cleared away from the property and placed in the
communal dustbins.
9. Damage to the property
and its contents
Except in the case of normal wear and tear you will be responsible for
making good any damage to the property or its contents, which has
occurred due to negligence willful damage or irresponsible behavior on
the part of those occupying the property. You will be liable to pay for
the cost of replacement or rectifying damage.
10. Rights of
access
Paphos Holidays/our
representatives have the right to access the property at any time with
due regard to the convenience of you for the purpose of linen change,
inspection of the property, and to carry out essential, or routine
repair or maintenance work.
11. Our Responsibilities
Neither Paphos Holidays or any of our representatives can be held
responsible for any circumstances beyond our control including but not
limited to, mechanical breakdown, satellite television reception,
swimming pool maintenance, failure of any public supply, injury,
illness, death or loss.
12. Holiday insurance
Adequate holiday insurance is essential and the rental of the property
does not include insurance. We recommend that a full insurance is taken
out to cover cancellation, personal accident, and medical, damage etc.
13. Accuracy of
information
Paphos Holidays take great care
to ensure that the information and photographs contained on this website
are correct and all details are updated on a regular basis.
14. Arrival and departure
times
The property will be
available for occupation from 16.00 on the day of arrival and must be
vacated by 10.00 on day of departure however we will do our utmost to
accommodate all our guests.
15. Keys
Detailed instructions for keys, directions, car hire or taxi service
will be confirmed to you in writing on receipt of the balance
16. Complaints
In the unlikely event
that you have a complaint about the property or its contents whilst on
holiday, it must be reported immediately so the relevant action can be
taken to rectify the problem. Paphos Holidays will have no liability
for any complaint submitted after completion of the hire period.
17. Building and
development work
In the event of building
work taking place by local authority, developers or neighbours it is
important to note that Paphos Holidays are not responsible for such work
and is unable to stop such work taking place or control the levels of
noise.
18. Force Majeur
Paphos Holidays regret
that they cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the
performance or prompt performance of their contractual obligations is
prevented or affected by ‘force majeur’. In these terms and conditions
of hire, ‘force majeur’ means any event which Paphos Holidays or the
suppliers of the service(s) in question could not, even with due care,
foresee or avoid. Such events may include, but are not limited to, war,
threat of war, civil commotion or strife, hostilities, strikes or other
industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, acts of God, terrorist
activities, quarantine, epidemics, weather conditions, government action
or other events outside our control.
20. No Smoking
Policy
All our properties have a
no smoking policy but smoking is permitted on the balcony and terrace
and there may be ashtrays provided for this.
21. Property Guidelines
There will be full guidelines for you at the property. This will include
a contact telephone number if you require assistances. There will also
be instructions for the air-conditioning etc.
22. Air
conditioning
Please note that there is an additional charge for
air conditioning. Please ask for details when booking.
